College…finally.

I am off to Los Baños. Away from Region III, away from the city, from my family, my home, our dog, my bed, my books, my CDs, everything I got used to for 16 years. I was blessed to spend my 17th birthday last Thursday with my family…and no one else but them (except for Brent –a guy friend. We met up to trade CDs.)

Might not blog as often as I used to, but I hope I still get to hear from you guys. My main post would be through an open prayer I take pride in my faith and this goes out to anyone who reads it and for the people I mentioned. Spiritually, I’ve had my dark days before high school ended. I had a total reinvention during the summer, and I know that this is the time to grow even deeper in my faith…

Father, I thank you for 17 years of nothing but blessings. Thank You for a wonderful home, friends, churchmates and all the people I met along the way (and to the people I’ll be meeting in the future). I still can’t comprehend Your amazing love and mercy and I thank You for giving me a chance to live this kind of life. I pray for strength, courage and discipline; for Your wisdom to guide me every day that I’m away from home. I pray for my family that You walk with them and that You take care of them. I pray for my friends, that You keep us connected despite this separation. I also ask that I get to grow more like You everyday regardless of a tight schedule and academic demands. I pray that through this blog, I get to testify that You are the reason for everything.

I know that You will answer all our prayers, in due time…Your time. Whatever You’ve planned, I ask that it be done. All sickness, struggles, or any hard situation, You let these happen for our growth so that we may know that when everything we have seems lost, we learn that You are more than enough. I declare victory in Your name and I thank You for sending out our Savior.

All this I pray in the mighty name of Jesus,
